The UK's largest independent flower show returns to Southport's Victoria Park from August 14-17, featuring an impressive lineup of television personalities and culinary experts.

Southport Flower Show, sponsored by Halliwell Jones Kia Southport, expects over 50,000 visitors for its annual celebration. This year's celebrity guests include Kelvin and Liz Fletcher from ITV's hit series "Fletchers' Family Farm," Strictly Come Dancing winner Hamza Yassin, punk icon Toyah Willcox, and Gladiators' Zack George.

Gardening enthusiasts can learn from top experts including David Domoney from ITV's This Morning, BBC Two's Beechgrove Garden presenters Carole Baxter and George Anderson, and BBC Gardeners' World contributor Nick Bailey.

The culinary program features celebrity chefs Rosemary Shrager, Phil Vickery, Bake Off: The Professionals judge Cherish Finden, and Great British Bake Off 2014 winner Nancy Birtwistle in the demonstration kitchen.

Children's entertainment includes CBeebies star Justin Fletcher (Mr Tumble), plus expanded activities like Kids' Potting Shed, Meet the Alpacas, Forest School, and tennis skills sessions. Kids attend free.
The show features 13 spectacular show gardens, amateur grower competitions, and the famous Grand Floral Marquee. Operated by a local charity since 1924, proceeds support Victoria Park's preservation and maintenance.

"Southport Flower Show is one of the highlights of the summer events calendar not just in this area, but in the UK," said General Manager Alan Adams, promising "a great value day out for all the family."

Dogs are welcome, with waste bins and water stations provided throughout the showground.
