Regional retailer Yorkshire Trading Company is set to open a new store at the Flemingate centre in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

The family-run business has committed to a 10,300 sq ft unit—one of the largest at the retail and leisure destination—with doors expected to open in the coming weeks. The expansion will create approximately 25 full-time and part-time roles, with recruitment currently underway.

Founded as a corner shop in Hull in 1939, Yorkshire Trading Company has grown into a multi-generational business operating 34 stores across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Northumberland, employing nearly 600 people. The new Beverley location will stock a wide range of household essentials, DIY goods, clothing, gardening products, and toys.

Flemingate is owned and operated by Hull-based commercial property specialist Wykeland Group. The retailer joins an established lineup at Flemingate, which features major national brands alongside independent outlets, a diverse dining and leisure scene, and the upcoming opening of indoor golf venue FORE! in September.
